After graduating with Ph.D. in Pure Math from the University of Southern California, Dr. Torres spent some years teaching at the University of California at Irvine and then he devoted most of his time to work on consulting projects. Ms. Wirsig has been an informal social scientist all her life, but transitioned to a formal pursuit of the discipline after receiving her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. Focusing on research design, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and qualitative data analysis, Ms. Wirsig has provided social sciences consulting services in the United States, Chile, Mexico, and Spain.
